Collins Aerospace’s Global Technical Solutions team is looking for a Senior Tech, ECAD Drafting/Designer Services to join our Electronics Computer-Aided Drafting (ECAD) organization. We are looking for a strong, passionate problem-solver with an action-oriented, collaborative mindset who strives to exceed expectations.
What You Will Do:
Plans, lays-out, and revises detailed part, assembly, and installation ECAD drawings from basic layouts, references, and schematics.
Completes details of major layout drawings prepared by other in accordance with standard engineering drafting practices using computer aided design systems.
Designs electrical equipment, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
Prepares complete production detail drawings/models.
Responsible for design and documentation of new or modified Printed Wiring Boards (PWBs) or Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs)
Relies on previous experience, judgement, and standard procedures to plan and accomplish assigned tasks and goals
May assist in orienting, training, assigning and checking the work of team members
Must be willing and able to travel 10% of the time
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this contract
4 years experience designing Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) and/or Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) with tools such as Mentor Graphics, Zuken, Valor, Cadence, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience reading and understanding assembly drawings, circuit card schematics, and assembly instructions
Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques
Experience evaluating engineering processes and providing recommendations to increase efficiency
Knowledge in Power Electronics is a plus.
