Collins Aerospace is looking for a Staff Technician, Engineering Services who will primarily focus on fabrication of panel assemblies for lab testing. Fabrication may include but is not limited to composite layup, coating application, and/or mechanical assembly. You will have an opportunity to work on tasks within the lab which involve destructive or non-destructive testing.
Position will be working onsite at our Riverside CA facility
What You Will Do
Focus on fabrication but will have opportunities to contribute to other tasks and projects which support the Riverside Testing Group.
Work under moderate supervision
Read and follow lab planning, lab procedures and work instructions.
Interpret basic blueprint/drawings
Read and follow specification requirements
Check work visually and dimensionally using required documentation to verify configurations, quality and identify nonconformance from workmanship of self and others.
Use computers and office equipment to record and process transactions.
Keep equipment and surroundings neat, clean and organized.
Perform related duties as required within the scope of this job function as well as willing to learn other processes to broaden skillset
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

Composite experience (example: hand layup)
