Collins & Company, a Patrick Industries brand, is looking for a Warehouse Support Specialist to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering strong working relationships with both internal team members and external vendors to ensure smooth warehouse operations!
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Plan, schedule, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
· Monitor and update the back-order report to track delayed shipments and coordinate fulfillment.
· Maintain accurate records of shipment details, delays, and logistical issues.
· Identify and resolve shipping discrepancies (e.g., missing, damaged, or incorrect shipments).
· Investigate and report shipping errors to the appropriate department for resolution.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
· Maintain and submit incident reports related to workplace accidents or safety concerns.
· Assist in scheduling and conducting safety training sessions when needed.
· Prepare and maintain fuel reports for company vehicles with proper documentation
· Manage, track and submit expense reports on a monthly basis
· Act as the warehouse payroll back-up, ensuring employee hours are correctly processed in the absence of the primary payroll coordinator.
· Serve as the primary building maintenance contact, coordinating facility repairs and service requests.
· Communicate with vendors and service providers to ensure the warehouse and equipment is properly maintained.
· Assist in processing new hire paperwork and onboarding procedures for warehouse team members.
· Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements and best practices
· Participate in special department projects/initiatives as they arise
Qualifications and Skills:
· Previous experience in logistics, scheduling, or transportation coordination preferred.
· Strong organizational and time-management skills.
· Proficiency in logistics software and (Excel, Outlook, Word).
· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
· Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices is a plus.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
· Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
