Long-term, growing, Certified Public Accounting firm located in South La Crosse, Wisconsin is hiring a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Collins & Associates, S.C. does a little bit of everything, but specializes in tax returns (1040s and 1120s) and audits - all while having fun!!
This long-term position has great potential for fast-tracking into partnership buy-in/equity opportunity with a very rewarding earnings potential, within only a few years' time; and comes with fringe benefits. The right person must not only have the capabilities to review and understand all of the accounting work, but also possess good leadership qualities to help run a small team of other office personnel.
After proper training, this opportunity may require a little travel around the tri-state area (for audits).
Office Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm ( Saturday mornings, during Tax-Season: Jan.-Apr.)

Key Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Prepare and review personal and business tax returns (know current federal and state tax laws and regulations)
- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly bookkeeping
- Assist and review audit engagements
- QuickBooks (Desktop and Online) assistance to clients
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently, and delegate work
- Review client payrolls and other team members' bookkeeping work
- Keep current licenses and other CPEs
- Keep confidential records
- Meet and build relationships with new and existing clients
- Other office duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree-Accounting and 2-year Equivalent Related Experience (required) OR CPA License (preferred)
- Knowledge with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks (required)
- Accounting software (required)
- Advanced knowledge of audits (preferred)
