Job Purpose
The purpose of Jr. Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating electrical construction projects of lower complexity, often under the guidance of an experienced Project Manager, or assisting on more complex or high-value projects. The role involves assisting in planning, executing, and completing electrical projects within the established scope, budget, and timeline. The Jr. Project Manager will work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery.
What You'll Do
- Assist project managers in developing project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for less complex electrical projects.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure project requirements are understood and incorporated into the plan.
- Pricing Proposed Changed Orders.
- Support the execution of electrical installations, ensuring adherence to industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and assist in implementing corrective measures as necessary.
- Provide support to the project team, including field foremen and support staff.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Assist in organizing and conducting team meetings to discuss project status, address concerns, and provide updates.
- Assist in maintaining a comprehensive document control system for project documentation, including plans, drawings, specifications, and change orders.
- Support the review and approval process of project documentation with relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the distribution and storage of project documents.
- Collaborate with project managers to monitor project budgets, track expenses, and assist in managing change orders.
- Support the finance department in accurate and timely invoicing, payment processes, and financial reporting.
- Contribute to identifying cost-saving opportunities within projects.
- Assist in establishing and maintaining effective relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other trade partners.
- Help address stakeholder concerns and support in managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Contribute to regular meetings and provide updates to stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical construction.
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in project delivery processes.
- Perform any other job-related duties or function as assigned by management.
- Accountable for leading efforts in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and methodologies to improve processes and increase efficiency.
- Participate in CECI Continuous Improvement events as needed (ex: JDI, RIE & A3's)
- Maintain SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) for compliance practices and other associated functions.

What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 3 years of experience in electrical project management within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with project management principles and practices is desirable.

Salary : $58,000 - $70,000
