Collins is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager II-Ancillary Inspections to play a key role on our Lexington, Kentucky, team but can work out of Lexington, Kentucky, Columbus, Ohio, or Nashville, TN. The Project Manager II will have the opportunity to work on ODOT Statewide Overhead Sign inspections.
The ideal candidate will have experience in experience in ancillary structure inspection and ancillary structure design/repair design. This position requires the ability to manage projects, liaise with clients and government agencies, and perform both structural inspections and design. The Project Manager II plans, designs, and directs projects by performing the following duties.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs complex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
- Demonstrates strong proficiency in computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
- Is active in technical societies.
- Publishes engineering papers and/or articles.
- Responsible for projects of varying size and complexity from inception to completion.
- Takes an active role in contract negotiations, project planning, project quality, and project profitability.
- Oversees project budgets.
- Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
- Ensures accurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
- Provides leadership in client management, proposal preparation, project scoping and estimating project costs.
- Responsible for maintaining meaningful relationships with clients.
- Is available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours.
- Directs and supervises the work of project teams and support staff.
- Actively observes and acts in an appropriate manner related to safety.
- Ensures that staff needing specialized training in health and safety procedures and practices receives such training and that safety is discussed as an important aspect of their work.
- This position can require up to 50% travel.

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree and/or master’s degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.
- 5 years or more experience in project management.
- 10 years’ experience in transportation structure inspection.
- Experience in ancillary structure inspection strongly preferred.
- Experience in ancillary structure design/repair design a plus.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.)

Salary : $104,000 - $124,000
