Collins Engineers, Inc., a leader in the transportation, marine, construction, and land development industries, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Marketing Proposal Coordinator in our Chicago, Illinois, office. The Senior Marketing Proposal Coordinator plays a key role in the development of the firm’s proposals, prequalification’s, and statements of qualification. This role provides guidance to the marketing department and project teams in the pursuit process, with minimal oversight by a supervisor.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in pursuit management/capture plan process.
- Oversee the successful preparation and submission of proposals and qualification packages for project opportunities while maintaining consistency, quality, and corporate branding. Independently develops proposal content.
- Provide direction to pursuit managers and technical staff to ensure all required content and materials are included for compliance.
- Guide and coach the pursuit team in developing shortlist interviews and presentations.
- Take a proactive role in identifying and tracking divisional leads/opportunities. Monitors websites, publications, and news sources for project advertisements and solicitations. Advises on selection of key projects and staff resumes for proposal projects.
- Organizes and guides the development and execution of go/no-go decision-making, planning, and developing winning strategies and messaging that resonates to successfully capture work, including providing business intelligence on clients, competitors, and Collins.
- Oversee management of marketing information within the Deltek Vantagepoint database and server.
- Provide guidance and train others on use of marketing tools and processes.
- Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with senior management and the marketing and communications staff while serving as their subject matter expert.
- Provides leadership and develops marketing staff through coaching and mentoring. Identifies skill and knowledge gaps and develop training and coaching strategies to mitigate and grow internal competencies.
- Advise on staff development and promotes marketing staff growth through effective delegation.
- Develop strategies to identify and address process inefficiencies and provide continuous improvement of current processes and procedures.
- Take ownership of and proactively leads the quality review process within the marketing department.
- Contribute to strategic direction of department by staying abreast of industry developments, conducting internal process evaluations, and advising on changes.
- Maintain membership and actively participates in professional organizations, such as SMPS. Attends meetings, events, and networking opportunities.
- Possible travel to other Central Division offices.
- Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or communications.
- Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals.
- 7 years of relevant experience.

Salary : $85,000 - $95,000
