Position Overview:
As a Medical Biller at Collins Surgical, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all billing functions, ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement for medical equipment sales. You will play a crucial role in maintaining strong relationships with insurance companies, third-party billers, and customers while ensuring compliance with billing and reimbursement regulations. Key Responsibilities:
· Plan and direct all billing operations, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
· Deliver high-level customer support to internal and external stakeholders.
· Manage and coordinate revenue recovery activities.
· Perform code verification, daily payment posting, reporting, and deposit processing.
· Schedule, code, and bill all sales orders promptly and accurately.
· Resolve unpaid charges and address insurance company denials.
· Stay up to date on billing and reimbursement regulations and communicate changes to staff.
· Investigate and resolve complex billing issues with insurance companies, third-party billers, and management.
· Develop and maintain effective working relationships with insurance companies and third-party billers to ensure proper payment receipt.
· Process audits as requested and submit on behalf of Collins Surgical.
Qualifications:
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, preferably in the medical equipment or healthcare industry.
· Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in all tasks.
· Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
· Must be a team player with the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and doctors.
· Ability to work independently, managing personal and team goals effectively.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Comprehensive understanding of medical billing codes, insurance processes, and revenue recovery.
· Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving billing discrepancies and denials.
· Knowledge of healthcare billing regulations and compliance standards, including governmental agencies and third-party payers.
