Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, can do attitude individual, for the Packing Inventory Specialist position to join our team.
The Packing Inventory Specialist is responsible for efficiently and accurately picking orders from inventory and packing them for customers around the nation. This role requires attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be able to ensure orders are correctly pulled/filled, labeled, and prepared for shipment accurately.
This position requires an understanding of warehouse management systems and supply chain processes to facilitate effective inventory control and order fulfillment.
Responsibilities
- Pull/fill orders accurately from inventory based on details of customer order
- Safely pack products with appropriate packaging materials
- Label Shipments according to shipping and company standards
- Confirm correct item quantity, product condition, and packaging before shipment
- Collaborate with team members in all areas of the company
- Package products according to company standards
- Use correct packaging and materials (box, bubble wrap, etc.) for product to be shipped per company standards
- Verify and cross check order contents with packaging Invoice to ensure accuracy of order
- Inspect product for damage and defect before shipment
- Apply shipping label and required documentation is placed correctly on shipment
Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a packing, or warehouse environment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail
- An understanding of production processes is a plus
- Basic understanding of shipping procedures
- Positive, can do attitude, with good communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills to address inventory-related challenges effectively
Work Environment:
- Warehouse, production area
- Ability to lift up to 25lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walking, lifting and use of arms and hands
