POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Risk Manager
SUMMARY:
The Risk Manager and Safety Professional is a senior-level role responsible for overseeing property and casualty insurance, managing broker relationships, handling claims, and leading workplace safety programs. Reporting to the General Counsel, this position develops and implements risk strategies, conducts on-site safety inspections, ensures compliance with safety protocols, and creates training programs. With a hands-on approach, the role drives safety and compliance across multiple locations while mitigating risk and enhancing operational safety.
MUST BE LOCATED IN DUBLIN, OH AREA OR AT LEAST 3 HOURS FROM DUBLIN AND ABLE TO TRAVEL INTO DUBLIN 1X WEEK. OUR PREFERENCE IS THAT THIS PERSON IS ONSITE.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee aspects of risk management, including property and casualty insurance, claims handling, and risk mitigation strategies.

Manage relationships with insurance brokers and external partners independently, ensuring optimal coverage and cost efficiency.

Lead the annual insurance renewal process by gathering data, preparing submissions, negotiating terms with brokers, and ensuring timely completion of policies.

Conduct regular facility safety audits and on-site inspections, as needed, to ensure compliance with safety standards.

Monitor and analyze safety incidents and trends to identify opportunities for risk mitigation and improvement.

Oversee fleet and rental car management, ensuring safety standards and procedures are followed.

Act as the primary point of contact for all insurance and safety-related matters, including resolving claims and risk issues.

Design and deliver comprehensive safety education programs tailored to each location, ensuring continuous improvement and engagement in workplace safety practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:

10 years of experience in risk management and insurance, ideally within a large organization (Fortune 500 preferred).

Proven expertise in property and casualty insurance, claims management, and insurance renewals.

Strong ability to manage broker relationships independently with minimal supervision.

Experience developing and implementing workplace safety programs, including conducting safety audits and inspections.

Demonstrated leadership in designing safety training programs and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.

Willingness to travel regularly to locations for on-site safety inspections and program implementation.

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
