As a Veterinary Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in the care and safety of our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to assist veterinarians in the safe administration of anesthesia, closely monitoring patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep passion for animal welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for anesthesia, including pre-operative assessments and sedation administration
- Administer anesthesia and monitor vital signs throughout surgical procedures
- Assist veterinarians in surgical and diagnostic procedures
- Operate and maintain anesthesia equipment and monitoring devices
- Record patient information accurately in medical records
- Provide post-operative care and monitor patient recovery
- Ensure proper handling and care of animals during all procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment
Qualifications:
- Veterinary Technician Certification (Required)
- 2 years of experience as a veterinary anesthesia technician (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of veterinary anesthesia protocols and procedures
- Experience with anesthesia monitoring equipment (e.g., ECG, capnography, pulse oximetry)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
