We are seeking a full-time Experienced Maintenance Person to join our team at a large community in Zanesville, OH.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Person will assist the staff with maintaining the property's electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, carpentry, and painting.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and promptly.
• Ensure the completion of all market-ready apartments, emergency and non-emergency service requests, various maintenance activities, and community inspections
• Assist with updating the make-ready board and ensuring that unit turns are completed promptly along with the maintenance team and or independent contractors in maintaining grounds and common areas and keeping them free of trash and debris
• Respond to maintenance work orders, follow up with residents and office staff, and work in an on-call rotation
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Extensive knowledge of residential building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.
• Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.
• Excellent management and supervisory skills.

Education and Experience:

• At least five years of maintenance experience required.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
• Must be able to lift to 50 pounds at a time.

Job Classification:

• This position is full-time nonexempt (eligible for *overtime).
