Job Summary:
Water's Edge Apartments is currently seeking a full-time Leasing Consultant. The Leasing Consultant is responsible for conducting the daily leasing activities of the property. You must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of management and site personnel. You must be detail oriented and able to focus with occasional interruptions. Base pay plus commission paid monthly.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Warmly greets visitors, prospective renters, and current residents.
- Provides potential tenants with brochures, information, and tours of facilities and available units.
- Have an outgoing and friendly demeanor with a willingness to please people
- Attract prospective residents through outreach marketing, touring, and consistent follow-up practices
- Display thorough knowledge of application process to include resident screening, approval process, and lease execution
- Perform administrative duties as assigned by property manager
- Provide courteous and efficient handling of residents' maintenance request and property inquiries
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Outgoing, friendly attitude and ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Must be able to work every Saturday and occasional Sunday.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous leasing experience or retail/sales experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing and walking, giving tours, and meeting with potential tenants.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to work weekends.
