Colonial Behavioral Health provides opportunities for recovery to individuals and their family members in the areas of mental illness, substance use disorder, and developmental disabilities. Colonial Behavioral Health serves the citizens of James City County, City of Poquoson, City of Williamsburg, and York County.We are currently recruiting for a Clinician V position within Outpatient Services. This position will provide Outpatient Therapy and Board approved Licensure supervision. The position will have a small caseload in the outpatient practice. The Clinician V in addition to providing the Board of Health Professions licensure supervision to license eligible Supervisees in Social Work or Residents in Counseling (as applicable) will participate in providing supervision to Qualified Mental Health Professionals Trainees (QMHP-T) and graduate students seeking internships and practicums.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Job ResponsibilitiesIndividual and group licensure supervision in accordance with the Board of Health Professionals requirements.Provide counseling and psychotherapy.Complete assessments, evaluations, diagnosis, and service planning of within the population served and review services provided by Supervisees or ResidentsDevelop recovery oriented and strength-based service plans with measurable objectives.Serves as a consultant to other staff and community agencies regarding assessment and diagnosis, coordination of services, and referrals.Other duties as assigned.
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Skills and Qualifications Ability to train, mentor and foster professional development for supervisees or residents as applicable.Must be able to prepare a comprehensive recovery-oriented treatment plan according to agency guidelines. Ability to maintain an objective, professional and calm relationship with individuals and groups in a stressful situation. Two years experience providing clinical services to individuals across their lifespan, who may have behavioral health, substance use or co-occurring disorders. Ability to work with individuals in crisis. Knowledge of evidence-based practices. Valid driver's license is required.
