We are currently recruiting for a Housing Support Specialist position within our Permanent Support Housing program. This position will provide comprehensive housing support services to individuals with serious mental illness who may have other co-occurring substance use or developmental disorders.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for assisting individuals with serious mental illness and/or serious mental illness with co-occurring substance use and/or developmental disabilities who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless to identify affordable housing options.
- Process applications for PSH rental subsidy, monitor payments, and complete annual recertification's adjusting amounts of subsidy as appropriate.
- Ensures all eligibility criteria for rental subsidy are meet by confirming that income, assets, household composition, and rent reasonableness determinations are within established guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned

- Knowledge of and experience identifying/securing housing resources
- Experience in program administration and/or management of housing programs serving low-income residents with disabilities or individuals who are homeless.
- One year of experience working with adults with mental illness and co-occurring disorders. preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences or related field required.
- Valid Driver’s license and acceptable driving required.
