Colonial Country Club is seeking an energetic and compassionate Group Exercise Instructor to lead Strength & Stretch classes tailored to our vibrant 55 member community. This role focuses on functional fitness, mobility, and overall wellness, with an emphasis on creating a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead dynamic, low-impact group fitness classes designed to promote strength, flexibility, balance, and mobility for active older adults.
- Provide clear demonstrations and offer personalized modifications to accommodate varying fitness levels and physical abilities.
- Foster a warm, supportive, and engaging atmosphere that encourages member participation and connection.
- Monitor safety and ensure proper form, alignment, and progression throughout each session.
- Collaborate with the fitness team to continually refine and elevate the member experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field or nationally recognized certification (NASM, ACSM, NACA, ACE) with a minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience.
- Current CPR/AED certification required.
- Specialized credentials in senior fitness (e.g., ACE Senior Fitness Specialist, SilverSneakers, Functional Aging Institute) strongly preferred.
- Deep understanding of age-appropriate training principles with a focus on functional movement, safety, and wellness.
- Exceptional communication and cueing skills with a confident, professional presence.
- A passion for working with older adults and a commitment to supporting their fitness journey with empathy and expertise.
- Reliable, punctual, and enthusiastic about early morning instruction.
Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays 8:30AM - 9:15AM
