Colonial Country Club is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bakery Prep team member to join our culinary team. The Bakery Prep role is responsible for assisting in the preparation of high-quality baked goods, ensuring consistency, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and efficiency in the kitchen. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about baking and eager to grow in a professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of bread, pastries, desserts, and other baked goods following established recipes and guidelines.
- Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes.
- Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofers in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the bakery station and equipment.
- Maintain proper storage and labeling of ingredients and finished products.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Assist in inventory management, including receiving and stocking supplies.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations to uphold a clean and safe work environment.
- Support the bakery and culinary team with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in a bakery, pastry kitchen, or similar role preferred but not required.
- Basic knowledge of baking techniques and ingredients.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior culinary staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Availability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must have a valid ServSafe Food Handlers certification.
Hours of Operation:
- Typical hours of operation will be between 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, based on business needs.
Background check and drug screen required.
