Colonial Country Club is seeking dedicated and hardworking Course Groundskeepers to maintain the pristine condition of our golf course. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily upkeep of the course, ensuring a high-quality playing surface and an exceptional experience for members and guests. This role involves operating landscaping equipment, performing routine maintenance, and assisting in course improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the golf course by mowing greens, fairways, tees, and roughs.
- Rake and maintain bunkers, repair divots, and perform other turf care tasks.
- Assist in irrigation management, including monitoring and repairing sprinkler systems.
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and other turf treatments under supervision.
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
- Remove debris, trim trees, and maintain overall course aesthetics.
- Assist in course setup for daily play and tournaments.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior golf course maintenance or landscaping experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to operate lawn maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of turf care, irrigation, and landscaping is a plus.
