The Expeditor at Colonial Country Club is responsible for ensuring efficient communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to maintain a smooth and timely food service operation. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
- Review and organize food tickets to coordinate order preparation and ensure timely plating.
- Inspect dishes for presentation, accuracy, and quality before they leave the kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with chefs, servers, and other staff to resolve any order discrepancies or special requests.
- Maintain an organized and clean expediting station, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Monitor and prioritize orders to prevent delays and ensure guests receive hot and properly prepared meals.
- Assist with food garnishing and final presentation to uphold Colonial Country Club’s service standards.
- Support kitchen and service teams in managing high-volume periods efficiently.
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience as an expeditor, food runner, or in a similar role in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting required.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with multiple teams.
- Keen attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and high-quality presentation.
- ServSafe Food Handler certification required.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
Background check and drug screen required.
