Job Overview
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for monitoring warehouse inventory and performing cycle counting duties to ensure that all materials are properly verified to be reflective of reported inventory. Documentation of procedural issues and concerns are required. Focus on all aspects of inventory movement, such as restocking and accounting for warehouse items and are responsible for compiling and maintaining records of the value, type and quantity of a company's supplies.
Responsibilities
- Maintains inventory cycle count and physical inventory programs
- Counts and reconciles randomly chosen part numbers and/or locations
- Assists in developing solutions to specific problem areas
- Compiles, verifies and reports periodic statistical information to management regarding trends in customer escalations
- Assists in development of projects as well as make recommendations to appropriate personnel
- Ensures compliance to inventory processes and procedures as well as compliance to contractual obligations
- Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
- Research inventory discrepancies and ability to reconcile them
Qualifications
- Analytical, detail-oriented, organized, professional and courteous in demeanor with a strong customer services mentality.
- Keep updated records so that accurate counts may be made.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must be proficient in MS Office and any (WMS) warehouse management system
