- Provides next-level guest service to internal and external guests. Demonstrates #AddLife culture in all interactions with guests and co-workers.
- Responsible for ensuring consistent and quality execution of Food and Beverage operations at the property.
- Will take ownership of assigned duties as prescribed and delegated by Food and Beverage Manager.
- Will make an ongoing effort to identify opportunities with processes, quality, standards, execution, guest service, hospitality, and operations. Will be all things operations-organization, cleanliness, and standards.
- Hires, motivates, trains, coaches, mentors, and directs staff to ensure that Team Members receive leadership, guidance and resources to accomplish established objectives.
- Fostering an environment of support and motivation for Team Members.
- Maintains and improves departmental standards, guidelines and objectives, and maintains other administrative processes such as budget and staffing to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of assigned areas.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with established procedures with company policy and state regulations.
- Reviews activities in all reporting areas in order to gauge and improve staffing levels, working conditions and other matters which influence quality guest service and profitability.
- Reviews the work activities of subordinate employees to ensure that work is being performed within the standards established by management.
- Monitors daily operations in the dining rooms, gaming floor, Rosie’s Kitchen, and the Sports Bar including assuring appropriate staffing, guest service, and consistency & quality in products served.
- Well rounded in all operations-Rosie’s Kitchen, Rosie’s Bar, and the Sports Bar. Able to effectively lead, coach, mentor, and develop team members in each of those areas because they’ve mastered the knowledge of each station and position. Has confidence/capability to jump in and work positions as needed based on business needs.
- Follows up with F&B Supervisors to ensure they are leading there shifts to brand standards and holds them accountable when standards are not adhered to.
- Communicates to F&B and Sports Bar Manager all departmental needs, issues, updates, guest service opportunities, and food safety/process concerns.
- An expert with Bepoz POS system and is proactive in taking action to resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Reviews daily schedules and payroll/time clock for accuracy and coverage.
- Reviews daily invoices for accuracy.
- Provides guest service training and departmental orientation for new restaurant employees.
- Works with other F & B management to provide on-going training for all food & beverage employees.
- Reviews monthly inventory and usage reports to be submitted to the accounting department.
- Monitors monthly purchases and payroll.
- Assists F & B Supervisors with work schedules, personnel problems, and food ordering and par levels.
- Assists with private banquet bookings and ensures staffing for events.
- Works with Human Resources on personnel issues.
- Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position supervisor.
- Monitors the day-to-day activities of the department(s) as subject to established company policies.
- Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities: In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
- Obtain and retain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department.
- Have knowledge of the Property’s programs to address problem gaming.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
Position Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (B. A.); or 5-7 years related experience and/or training; other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Must be able to formulate and communicate ideas and to make independent decisions.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License
