ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains a positive attitude and provides patrons with outstanding guest service, a positive attitude and fast, friendly service.
- Assumes Fiscal responsibility for teller’s initial bankroll and final return accountability.
- Completes all required cash draws or returns for tellers.
- Assist with cash removal from self-serve tote machines.
- Maintains proper inventory of currency/coin.
- Completes daily balance report.
- Uses tote file reports to assist with cash balancing.
- Stores daily paperwork, as required by the Virginia Racing Commission (VRC).
- Updates daily operations logs.
- Ensures proper televising of race programs and Dish to channel selections for all facility televisions.
- Works with other directorates to coordinate promotions/special race days.
- Resolve guest service issues.
- Assist tellers with problem solving and guest relations.
- Assume the responsibilities of teller position as needed based on business volume.
- Maintains all office and service equipment.
- Resolves problems that are within the position's scope of authority and recommends courses of action to resolve problems that are beyond the scope of authority to the position’s supervisor.
- Keeps position supervisor informed of relevant activities.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Cash handling experience strongly preferred.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- The Team Member will be required to sit/stand for extended periods of time.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, flashing lights, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
