Colonial Group, Inc., a multi-generational family-owned business, is offering a full-time Environmental, Health, and Safety summer internship at its Savannah, Georgia, office.
The student intern will work closely with experienced professionals, learning about standardization of Spill Prevention Control, Facility Response Plan, and Oil Transfer Manual Templates, developing a Google Earth profile for all of the Colonial locations, mapping key infrastructure, assisting with storm water sampling and non-hazardous waste management, document process hazard analyses for bulk terminal operations, and create emergency action plans.
This role demands strong analytical abilities and keen attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with regulatory agencies, internal teams, and external consultants. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong time management skills to meet deadlines. The internship concludes with a Leadership Luncheon, where interns present their summer learnings to Colonial Group, Inc.'s Senior Leadership Team.

Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program OR a recent graduate (within six months).
- The ability to commute daily to our Savannah, Georgia office.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
