What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pest Control/Lawn Care Technician position at Colonial Lawn & Garden?
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for applying treatments to lawns, trees, shrubs, buildings/structures, etc. to help control pests and enhance the growth and health of desirable plants. Must be able to accurately complete paperwork, manage inventory, do minor mechanical and maintenance work on equipment, evaluate properties and advise client of recommended treatments and/or issues. Work according to safety procedures and represent the company in a professional manner. Provide value, quality, and a high level of customer service to clients.
Job Requirements:
The successful candidate must have an aptitude to learn and use good judgment, able to communicate in English both verbally and in writing, able to problem-solve, able to work independently and with others, able to multi-task, be dependable, accurate, organized, ethical, and detailed, able to lift more than 50 pounds on a regular basis, use basic math, and able to deliver excellent customer service. The candidate will be driven by goals, must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, drug free, and enjoy working outside. Required to drive vehicles and operate equipment. Must have or be able to obtain the following WSDA licenses: Laws & Safety, Ornamental Weed, Ornamental Insect and Disease, and PCO General. Training is provided.

Required education:
- High school or equivalent
Required license or certification:
- Valid drivers license with good driving record
- WSDA licenses (required after hired/trained)
- Unlicensed starting pay: $18.00/hour, Fully licensed starting pay $24.00/hour
