Part-Time Food Service Worker - CMS

POSITION:  Food Service Worker (part-time)

LOCATION:  Colonial Middle School 

HOURS:  Monday through Friday; part time – 4.75 paid hours/day 

 9am to 1:45pm (subject to change slightly based on lunch schedules)

SALARY:  New employees:  $17.37/hr ($16.87 x first 60 working days)

                   Current employees: per bargaining agreement

AVAILABILITY: Immediate

QUALIFICATIONS: 

The ability to :

• Deal with students, faculty, parents, and staff in a courteous, professional manner 

• Operate/learn to operate all kitchen equipment 
• Perform duties such as general food prep, cleaning/sanitizing, etc. 
• Work rapidly and efficiently in performing job duties 
• Work well and maintain composure in faced paced environment 
• Efficiently handle and record cash transactions 

*Excellent customer service a must

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Prepare a variety of hot and cold breakfast and lunch items utilizing various methods and equipment 
• Serve meals to students and staff, demonstrating high level of customer service 
• Assist with completing records and logs as mandated by state and federal guidelines 
• Use proper sanitation and safety procedures 
• Maintain knowledge of National School Breakfast and Lunch Program regulations 
• Utilize computerized point of sale system for student transactions  
• Assist with receipt of food deliveries
• May prepare or assist in preparing and setting up refreshments for special functions
