For over 50 years, Colonial Printing, Inc has been providing high-quality, professional printing services to Central Missouri. We're the local source for full-service custom printing in Jefferson City, Columbia, Lake Ozark and surrounding areas. We offer custom graphic design and typesetting services and work directly with our clients one-on-one to ensure the final product expresses their exact ideas clearly and attractively. Whether its business cards, newsletters, flyers, forms, binding, die-cutting or any other print and finishing service, Colonial Printing has it covered.

As a local family-owned small business we are so much more than just another chain printer. We strive to build lasting relationships with our customers and are looking for a creative individual to help us continue that tradition.

Graphic Designer / Customer Service Representative

Education and Experience

Associates Degree in Graphic Design,Visual Arts or related field, or
2 years relevant experience (marketing, media, print production, etc)

Qualifications

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat

Proficiency in Canva preferred, but not required

Working knowledge of Windows operating system

Creative expertise in layout design, graphic and logo design, and typography

Fundamental knowledge of printing and prepress operations - preparing final files for print production

Fundamental knowledge of Accounts Receivable accounting practices using Quickbooks Online

Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize and execute tasks with minimal supervision

Detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate, complete and high-quality work

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with customers and staff in person, by phone and by email

Exceptional problem-solving abilities to address challenges during the production process

Ability to maintain a clean and professional workspace and appearance as a public representative of the company

Primary Duties

Manage customer experience from initial contact to order completion

Create visually appealing designs and layouts that meet client specifications

Prepare final files for print production

Light accounting : manage Accounts Receivable by preparing and sending invoices, collecting payments, maintaining records, preparing deposits

Other duties as assigned
