Duties
- Collaborate with the activity coordinator to plan and implement engaging activities tailored to the interests and needs of participants.
- Assist individuals with disabilities and seniors in participating in activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with participants to encourage involvement and gather feedback on activities.
- Manage schedules for activities, ensuring that all events run smoothly and on time.
- Provide caregiving support as needed during activities, including assistance with mobility or personal care.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes social interaction among participants.
- Document participation and feedback from events to help improve future programming.
- Support event planning efforts by gathering supplies, setting up spaces, and cleaning up after activities.
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or senior care is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is a plus.
- Skills in event planning or social work are beneficial for this role.
- Strong communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with participants and team members.
- Experience in schedule management to ensure timely execution of planned activities is advantageous.
