What are the responsibilities and job description for the Casual/Seasonal Open Application position at Colonial School District - Delaware?
- Provides individual or and/or group mathematics instruction to struggling learners using the designated curriculum under the supervision and guidance of full time teachers.
- Provide mathematics support to identified students during class time or enrichment/intervention.
- Collaborate with teachers of identified students on a regular basis in order to provide support to students in the regular classroom.
- Complies with Federal, State, and Local Regulations and Policies
- Accurately completes all required paperwork within the designated timelines
- Utilizes all available resources materials (i.e. Employee Handbook, website, Collaborative agreement, professional code of conduct, administrative procedures, School district board policies, etc) to complete required paperwork, maintain, professionalism and to avoid potential violations/noncompliance.
- Cooperates with Federal, State and Local Agency Personnel during alternative education and/or Special Education Compliance Monitoring and/or dispute Resolution activities.
- Provides a positive role model of appropriate and respectful interactions with students and staff.

Reports to: Principal
Compensation: $18.50 hour or $20.50 hour depending on classification
Work Year: 10 months - 20 per hours per week
POSITION GOAL:
To support identified students in building mathematics skills by utilizing research-based intervention programs and curriculum. Additionally, to provide support during class time.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
1. Bachelor’s degree is encouraged
2. Teaching certification as an Elementary or mathematics teacher
and/or experience preferred.
3. Demonstrates sensitivity to issues impacting various cultural, ethnic,
and socioeconomic groups.
4. Shows evidence of knowledge regarding practices known to be
effective with struggling learners.
5. Demonstrates understanding and ability to perform job related tasks.
6. Acceptable Criminal Background Report and no entries on the Child
Abuse Registry in the State of Delaware.
7. Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
