Job Description: The Unarmed School Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the school grounds, students, staff, and visitors during the school day. This role involves maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activities, and preventing any potential safety or security issues. The officer will perform regular patrols, respond to emergencies, and assist with conflict resolution while ensuring a safe, respectful learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Patrol the school grounds
- Report incidents/issues to site management/property managers
- Report any findings or facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
- Greeting students and faculty and assist when necessary
- Report writing
- Must have prior School or Security experience
- Must have FBI and Child Abuse clearance
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
- Customer service-oriented with a professional demeanor.
- Basic computer skills.
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
