Full job description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and company policies.
Observe and report any changes in residents’ conditions to the nurse or appropriate supervisor.
Maintain proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications.
Ensure all medications are given within designated timeframes.
Monitor residents for any side effects or adverse reactions to medications and report concerns promptly.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all medication administration and resident interactions in electronic or paper records.
Follow all infection control, safety, and confidentiality policies.
Participate in ongoing training and continuing education requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Health Service Director or Executive Director.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Completion of state-approved Medication Technician training program.
Active Medication Technician certification (if required by state regulations).
Previous experience in senior living, assisted living, or healthcare preferred.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
Must pass a background check and drug screening per facility policies.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks related to resident care.
Salary : $18 - $25
