What are the responsibilities and job description for the Junior CAD Drafter for Metal Work position at Colonial Welding LLC?
Colonial Welding, LLC is seeking an Entry Level CAD operator proficient in Auto CAD LT or Fusion. Our perfect candidate must enjoy working with people and must be able to communicate effectively on a technical level with management, customers, vendors and employees. Requirements include the ability to quickly produce legible hand drawn sketches based on customers specifications, have the organizational skills to manage jobs in a timely and effective manner and must be familiar with fabrication, construction and mechanical systems.
Responsibilities
Assisting customers with their metal projects and repairs as needed.
Drawing legible examples of what a customer is requesting based on their specifications and putting it into production.
Creating written quotes for customers based on time and material for each job.
Communicating with the Shop on every aspect of the customers job in regards to completion, quality, and following through to the end.
Communicating with the customer regarding their job in regards to any issues that may arise.
Keeping all of you jobs organized and ensuring that material is delivered to Colonial Welding so the project can begin.
Qualifications
Must have metal fabrication experience or equivalent detailed working knowledge of job shop equipment, as well as welding and fabrication practices. Must be proficient with Auto CAD or Fusion. Familiar with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel. High School Diploma or GED required. Must have a valid drivers license. Must have basic Math skills.
Starting pay commensurate with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
