Customer Service and Cashier

Overview:

Colonial Wines & Spirits LLC is seeking a reliable and friendly Customer Service and Cashier Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while assisting with their purchases, answering questions, and ensuring a positive shopping experience. In addition to cashier duties, this position also involves stocking shelves and maintaining store organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with product selection.
• Answer questions regarding products, promotions, and store policies.
• Offer suggestions and recommendations based on customer preferences.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area to ensure a seamless experience.
• Cashier Duties:
• Accurately process transactions, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
• Handle cash register with attention to detail, ensuring accurate change and receipts.
• Issue gift cards, process returns, and apply discounts as needed.
• Ensure all items are properly scanned, bagged, and ready for customers to take.
• Stocking and Inventory:
• Stock shelves and display areas with products according to the store’s needs.
• Ensure proper product labeling, pricing, and organization on the sales floor.
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving shipments and updating stock levels.
• Keep the store clean, organized, and well-maintained to enhance the shopping environment.
• Assist with re-stocking products during slow periods to maintain inventory flow.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and cashier experience preferred.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Must be able to lift and move boxes, stock shelves, and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old (or the minimum age required by state law) for handling alcohol sales.
