Industrial Refrigeration Assistant Project Manager

Position Summary:

Assistant Project Managers support all sizes of industrial refrigeration projects – we are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our Industrial Refrigeration. On our team, you will provide engineering and business project management support to project managers and field management, ensuring our work complies with design standards and contractual obligations.

Location:

• This is an office-based role, but requires visits to job sites, regional travel a few times per month and occasional trips to job sites in other parts of the country

A day in the life:

• In collaboration with project managers and field management, you will provide engineering and business support onsite for industrial construction projects
• Provide technical engineering information to project managers and field management as required, ensuring work performed onsite meets design and quality standards
• Manage, develop, and submit RFI's, IO&M manuals and other project documents
• Schedule equipment and material and coordinate with vendors
• Work with project managers to execute subcontracts and provide management of those contractors

You should have:

• Current or previous experience as a project engineer, project manager or experience working for a commercial or industrial mechanical or building construction contractor (this can include internships) is preferred but required.
• Competitive nature, high energy level and willingness to learn with the intent of developing into a Project Manager
• Possess skills, experience, and proficiency with technology, including knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office (Excel/Project) for cost, schedule, and engineering functions
• Demonstrate acumen for business to include knowledge and interest of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, accounting, cost forecasting, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources
• Ability to deal diplomatically with internal and external customers at various levels within an organization (i.e., owners, GC’s, subcontractors, engineers, superintendents, drafters)
• Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings, and specifications (preferred)
