A day in the life:
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspection tasks as defined in each maintenance agreement maintaining adherence to budget objectives
- Identify potential or current areas of failure, test parts with appropriate instruments, replace small parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
- Disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components
- Obtain clearly defined directives from the Service Coordinator on the specific tasks to be performed; assist the coordinator in scheduling inspections based on location, man-hour requirements, priorities, customer coordination’s, and material pick-up
- Provide recommendations to customers for needed repairs or further diagnosis while completing necessary paperwork resulting from maintenance inspections
You should have:
- The availability to travel 50% of the time
- Industry experience in the Industrial Refrigeration field
- Primary area of expertise is evaporative condensers, large control systems, complex conventional electrical controls, Industrial Refrigeration Systems including ammonia, cascade, and rack systems with the ability to rebuild commercial/industrial compressors
- Possess EPA approved CFC certification and RETA Course I and II certifications
- Possess knowledge of current International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration / Refrigeration Engineers and Technician Association and OSHA safety regulations
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule to include varying shifts, short notice assignments, emergencies, nights, weekends, and overtime (scheduled and unscheduled), as required
