ColonialWebb is seeking a talented and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team in Chesapeake, VA. As our Facility Maintenance Services Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and general maintenance repairs as needed along with learning about different trades (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical).

A day in the life:
Diagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
Primary areas of expertise include:
Electrical Systems
- Troubleshooting and repairing wiring, circuits, outlets, and breakers.
- Understanding of electrical schematics and safety protocols.
HVAC Systems
- Maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
- Diagnosing and fixing issues with compressors, blowers, and thermostats.
Plumbing
- Repairing leaks, clogs, and replacing damaged pipes or fixtures.
- Maintenance of water heaters, pumps, and sewer lines.
Mechanical Systems
- Troubleshooting and repairing motors, gears, and mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
You should have:
- Previous maintenance experience (preferably HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Must be able to work independently and without supervision
- Must have ability to pass a drug screen and background check
