ColonialWebb is seeking energetic and driven Sheet Metal Helpers to join our Special Projects team in the Richmond area. Under the guidance of experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics, you will learn how to assemble, install, and repair complex commercial sheet metal projects.

A day in the life:
- Learn how to layout, assemble and install, duct systems for commercial projects (to include TDF, Slide and Drive, Stainless Steel, Black Iron Grease Duct, Fire Dampers, Control Dampers, Volume Dampers, and more for commercial projects)
- Help set up tools and equipment.
- Load and unload construction materials from trucks into buildings.
- Furnish experienced craft workers with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Make sub-assemblies and hangers as directed by mechanics.
- Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and devices during installation.
You should have:
- The ability to get to work each day on time and focus on the job at hand; a reliable source of transportation to and from work
- Some knowledge of construction and/or the sheet metal industry, coupled with a willingness to learn
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including unscheduled overtime (nights and weekends)
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations (is a plus, but not required)
- Understanding of basic construction/shop math
- Ability to work easily and skillfully with hands
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
