A day in the life:
- Maintain strict adherence to all company safety rules, regulations, procedures, and practices
- Assist with organizing assigned areas (i.e., warehouse, laydown areas, storage units)
- Check freight bills and purchase orders against physical shipment and report damage or discrepancies on incoming material
- Tag and log all incoming material and coordinate deliveries or pickup with departments
- Place material in proper storage area and document location
- Complete all necessary paperwork and reports for damaged and/or missing items
You should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and inventory management
- Forklift and material handling skills, prior forklift certification and a minimum of one year experience preferred
- The ability to recognize piping, plumbing, mechanical related material, tools, and equipment
- Knowledge of parts, tools and equipment associated with HVAC/plumbing systems
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations, DOT requirements, Hazmat materials and shipping procedures
