Colonna's Shipyard is looking to obtain Helpers/ Laborers/ Firewatch.
The need is for Helpers wanting immediate work in Norfolk, VA.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
Responsibilities:
The need is for Helpers wanting immediate work in Norfolk, VA.
This is a full-time position with competitive pay.
- Will lift and carry trash, steel, scrap, steel, palettes, wood scraps, and all other trash to proper containers
- Moving of furniture cabinets, boxes, and equipment
- At the task will be firewatch but more focused on helper type tasks such as grinding, cleaning, bolting, organizing materials, transporting materials, etc.
- Choose appropriate tools and equipment for the completion of one’s duties
- Exposure to an environment with extreme temperatures
- Firewatch responsibility and duties
- Other job related duties as assigned
- Understand and act upon instruction
- Work independently to complete responsibilities
- Must have regular, reliable attendance
High school diploma or equivalent
Mechanical ability, manual dexterity, and hand/eye coordination required to perform various projects, per drawings, sketches, and verbal or written instructions
- Must be reliable with regular attendence
Position compensation is based on experience.
