Cheese Operations - Machine Operator (Full-Time with Benefits)

This role will be responsible for a variety of tasks including but not limited to obtaining correct machine settings, assembles, cleans, and adjusts machines.

Food Quality and Food Safety are an important aspect to ensuring our customer expectations are met. This position involves set up and operation of numerous pieces of equipment including mixers, Crepaco, Porta Pump, cutters and more.

You’ll Also Be Responsible For

• Fugi - operating the Fugi to wrap cheese from 1.75 oz to 7 oz sizes
• Operating the Handtman - used for making cheese logs and wheels
• Utilizing the Tipper Tie - an attachment to the Handtman machine
• Operating the PR1/Holomatic - used for filling cheese based products
• Compliance with all food safety protocols; supporting FSSC 22000 Certification
• Compliance to our safety program and safe operation of equipment
• Compliance to our Standard Operating Procedures
  
  

QualificationsWhat It Takes

We need an individual who is self-motivated and can work independently while following procedures. In addition, we are looking for an individual who can work in a fast-paced work environment with a high attention to detail.

• A high school education or equivalent or two years of relevant experience (we will train)
• Ability to with stand moderate physical labor for majority of shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• The ability of following and executing recipes possessing the necessary math skills to scale up or down
• Strong experience/knowledge of operating a wide range of machines
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Bilingual proficiency preferred (English/Spanish)
