What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCA Personal Care Assistant - Every Other Weekend Overnights position at Colony Court Senior Living Solutions?
We are seeking to fill every other weekend positions on our overnight shift.
PCA's (Personal Care Assistant) main role is to provide basic care to patients in an assisted living community, assisting them in daily activities they might have trouble with on their own, such as bathing. Because of the personal nature of the job, we are seeking applicants that possess people skills and the ability to be compassionate and enjoy helping others.
PCA’s / CNA’s assist patients with daily activities and with additional training have additional responsibilities, such as administering medication and cleaning common areas. The core functions on the job include:
- Bathe and dress residents
- Take vital signs
- Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses and doctors
- Answer resident calls
- Examine residents for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds
PCA's also serve as a conduit between patients and nurses and doctors and record and communicate all issues to medical staff.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 16 per week
