What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Rebar Detailing Support Coordinator position at Colony Hardware Corporation?
The Assistant Rebar Detailing Support Coordinator will report to the Rebar Detailing Support Coordinator and will primarily assist with scheduling, delivering, and managing rebar shop drawings while offering customer support to customers.
A Little About Your Day. You will:
- Schedule rebar shop drawings for detailing.
- Send out shop drawings for approval to sales staff and upload them onto our server.
- Receive approved shop drawings (redlines) from sales and upload them to the appropriate folder before sending them back to the detailer for corrections, field use drawings, and bar lists.
- Notify the Production Coordinator that the field use drawings and bar lists are uploaded and ready for fabrication.
- Speak directly with customers and/or sales staff on detailing questions and concerns.
What You’ll Need for Success:
- High School Diploma or Associates/Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Construction Management-related field (preferred)
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) with both associates and customers throughout the entirety of the detailing process and with any questions and/or concerns.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Knowledge of rebar shop drawings (strongly preferred).
- Knowledge of ASA Rebar software (strongly preferred).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and work both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of the ASA estimating software
- Prior rebar or metal working experience
