What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Sales Operations position at Colony Hardware Corporation?
The Director of Sales Operations directly reports to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). The position supports the CCO and regional business sales leadership in building, monitoring, and managing business-wide sales operations processes, tools, and data. In addition, the role leads planning, implementation, and monitoring of strategic sales and marketing initiatives aimed at driving profitable sales growth and consistency across the Colony Hardware platform.

Working closely with the CCO and Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) for regional businesses, the Director of Sales Operations focuses on:
- Building, managing, and monitoring robust Sales Operations processes
- Leading the Annual Sales Budgeting process
- Ensuring sales teams document and maintain Account Plans
- Driving accuracy and accountability of the Weekly Activity Planning process
- Development and implementation of dedicated Inside Sales Team
- Development and implementation of dedicated Special Order Desk
- Roll out of Cost To Produce Order (COPO) margin enhancement tool
- Developing a robust Pipeline Management process
- Leading Sales Data, Analytics and Insights
- Collection of accurate sales data (e.g., sales rep productivity, performance against budget and plan, etc.)
- Building effective reports/scorecards to support performance management
- Performing rigorous analysis, developing insights and suggesting actions
- Leading the Monthly Sales MOR process, including developing materials, leading the meeting, documenting action items, and monitoring compliance
- Managing sales incentive program rules, process and integration with compensation (long term)
- Communicating Colony Hardware commercial policies, strategies, and business plans to sales teams, assuring uniform execution across the regions
- Supporting coaching, training and development of Colony Hardware regional sales teams
- Developing strong working relationship with Colony Hardware regional business RSM’s & teams
- Traveling to regional sales teams to assure effective execution of processes, initiatives, assessing training and development needs, and to remain connected with customers/market challenges.
- Executing strategic corporate sales and marketing initiatives across all channels
- Building the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) Hunter program
- Over the longer-term, supporting implementation of a Colony Hardware-wide Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) system
- Other corporate sales initiatives as time and other duties allow
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Experience
- Four-year college degree in business or related field
- 10 years of experience in Marketing, Sales, and/or field operations
- Experience with data analysis and generating helpful reports using various data sources
- Experience in delivering data and communicating meaningful metrics
- Demonstrates intermediate to advanced proficiency levels in: Salesforce or similar CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Business Writing

- Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with management, internal and external customers and ability to maintain corporate standards and professionalism
