Job Summary
Colony House Furniture Warehouse Manager oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient flow of goods from receipt to delivery. They will manage inventory, supervise staff, and implement safety standards to ensure smooth and compliant operations. This role requires very strong leadership and organizational skills.
Duties
- Inventory Management:
Tracking, managing, and ensuring accurate inventory levels
- Staff Supervision:
Participate in hiring, training, motivating and evaluating warehouse staff to maintain productivity and efficiency
- Shipping and Receiving:
Overseeing the efficient receipt, storage and delivery of goods.
- Safety and Compliance:
Implementing and enforcing safety rules, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Logistics and Operations:
Developing and optimizing warehouse layouts, workflows and procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Performance Monitoring:
Monitoring staff performance, ensure proper training as needed. Utilize company disciplinary process as needed. Add improvements to enhance warehouse performance.
- Equipment Maintenance:
Overseeing the maintenance and repair of warehouse trucks and any other warehouse equipment.
- Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of inventory, deliveries and other warehouse activities.
- Communication:
Communicate effectively with staff, office and management to ensure smooth operations.
Required Skills
Leadership and Management: Ability to motivate, supervise and direct staff effectively.
Organizational and Planning: Strong ability to organize tasks, prioritize work and
develop efficient workflows.
Inventory Management: Help and complete inventory tasks as needed.
Safety and Compliance: Knowledge and enforcement of safety rules, procedures and
best practices.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate with staff, office and
management team.
Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve problems efficiently and effectively..
