Mountain Operations Crew

Purpose/Objective:

Perform the general maintenance of the community; dead tree/hazardous fuel removal, and winter road snow removal on community roads as directed by the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Supervisor. In addition, this position may be called upon to perform other related duties as may be required from time to time by the Association.

Duties:

· General landscape duties, lawn sprinkler, and facility maintenance

· Dead tree removal

· Promote and exercise safe tree removal procedures

· Operate: tractor, tow trailer, UTV, lawn mower, edge trimmer, chainsaw brush cutter, woodchipper, skid steer, plow truck, snow blower, and use various hand tools

· Daily maintenance and care for HOA equipment and facilities

· Manage/update vehicle and project logs

· Attend weekly safety meetings

· Collect community garbage and recycling cans

· Pre-season (winter) staking of road edges

· Snow removal: snowplow community roads, snow blow road edges, snow blow private driveways, and shovel snow from walkways, roofs, gates, roadside signs, etc.

· Promote and exercise safe snow removal procedures

· Maintain community signs, traffic signs, holiday lighting, landscape lighting

· Safely operate machinery and vehicles in all conditions

· Accident/situation response, documentation, assist with stuck vehicles

· Roadside/shoulder maintenance, monitor roadside drainage during run-off periods

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to work for sustained periods in hot and cold environments

· Ability to work in rugged, steep terrain

· Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more

· Ability to communicate effectively via telephone

Qualifications:

· Experience with manual labor

· Background in operating machinery (loaders, bob cats or tractors)

· Possess a valid driver’s license

· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and complete projects in a timely manner

· Possess good customer service skills

· Positive attitude with a willingness to work with a team
