The Accounting Specialist will play a key role in supporting the Atos Accounting and Finance Department by assisting with a wide variety of accounting tasks. These tasks may include managing accounts payable and receivable, handling sales and use tax, ensuring compliance with income tax regulations, assisting with month-end close processes, and performing account reconciliations. The role will also involve contributing to special projects as needed. Additionally, the Accounting Specialist will collaborate with internal teams and interact with external tax authorities to support accounting processes and ensure regulatory compliance.
Main job responsibilities :
Sales and Use Tax Activities
- Primary contact for sales and use tax matters
- Assist with creating and documenting sales and use tax policies and procedures
- Support sales and use tax registration in unregistered states
- Help set up accounts in unregistered states
- Ensure proper reporting is in place to reconcile returns to the general ledger
- Ensure exemption certificates are current
- Address inquiries and requests from third-party vendors
Sales and Use Tax Return Preparation
Income Tax Requests
Unclaimed Property Process
Special Projects
Month-End Close Support
AR and Accounting Backup
