Position: Biologics Coordinator
Location: Denver, Lowry - 125 Rampart Way, Denver
Hours: Full-time, 10 hours per day, four days per week

We have been treating adult and pediatric patients for nearly 52 years who suffer with allergies, asthma and immunology-related illnesses.
Position Purpose: This non-exempt, full-time position will coordinate the administration of biologic medications including obtaining prior authorization approvals from insurance companies and completing administrative tasks related to acquisition and billing. Under the direction of the Director, Patient Finance Office, this position will work with all personnel in the clinics, utilizing the highest level of customer service. We are looking for a positive, experienced, responsible individual to contribute depth & knowledge to this new position.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain detailed records and report results regularly to administrative and clinic staff
- Monitor invoices and collaborate with the accounting department for accurate payments
- Determine the monthly profit margin of the biologics department
- Understand and focus on pharmacy discounts and track unit discounts
- Facilitate administration of biologic medications for patients, including:
- Manage data in pharmaceutical and insurance company web portals
- Obtain insurance prior authorizations
- Order medication from the distributer and monitor for optimal utilization
- Analyze data surrounding charges and reimbursement in the Practice Management software
- with pharmaceutical representatives, distributors, clinic and administrative staff to facilitate optimal communication with all departments regarding biologic medications
- well-informed on medication, insurance and billing changes related to biologic medications
- on-going training and support to CAAC employees, offering guidance on scheduling, charge entry, documentation, and other related biologic questions
- flexibility, professionalism and a high-level of motivation
- open communication and a team-oriented work environment with all departments and all levels of personnel

Qualifications
Prerequisites:
- Strong math and computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook and internet applications)
- Familiarity with insurance (medical and pharmacy benefits)
- Knowledge of prior authorization process
- Ability to perform multiple and diverse tasks
- Solid organizational, communication, and presentation skills
