Position Overview
The Project Manager will have experience in full life cycle construction project management ($2M-$5M), including budgeting, bidding, awarding contracts, managing the project construction team and guiding the project from preconstruction through close out. While this is an individual contributor role, you will be involved in many facets of our contracting lines of business; Traffic Control, Pavement Marking, and Permanent Installation. As theProject Manager, you will support the line of business leader on project management duties and responsibilities including preconstruction, procurement, contract administration and closeout, customer contact, identifying and mitigating risk, and project financial setup and maintenance.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Function as single point of accountability on assigned projects, tasked with providing timely delivery of services that meets the projects hard cost budget.
- Providing overall contract administration, technical expertise, and support to the project.
- Developing and implementing the project safety plan and leading by example for health and safety practices and procedures.
- Ensuring the project is constructed as per design, budget, resources, quality, and schedule.
- Understands client drivers and offers value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefit.
- Managing project performance and providing performance status reports for safety, cost forecast, and schedule.
- Travel to customer sites as necessary for customer meetings, confirmation of field layout details, and to resolve customer issues and complaints.
- Negotiating and issuing subcontracts, revisions, major purchase orders and progress payments and monitoring their progress and schedule.
- Understanding and enforcing the contract and contract documents.
- Participating in overall project commissioning and closeout.
- Identifying and managing risk and opportunities on construction projects.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external key stakeholders, decision makers and owners.
- Other duties as required.
