Job Purpose : Educator - Teacher at the preschool level (3-5 year olds) .

General Responsibilities:

• Creating a supportive learning environment that addresses the six key student needs - Safety, Success, Belonging, Freedom, Enjoyment, and Purpose - requires intentional planning and execution. Here's how you can approach each aspect of your role:
• Safety: Ensure physical and emotional safety in the classroom and other learning environments. Implement protocols for emergency situations and establish clear expectations for respectful behavior. Be attentive to signs of distress in students and provide appropriate support or referrals as needed.
• Success: Foster a growth mindset and provide opportunities for students to set and achieve academic and personal goals. Offer differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, and provide constructive feedback to help students progress. Celebrate their achievements and encourage perseverance through challenges.
• Belonging: Create a sense of community where every student feels valued and accepted. Incorporate activities that promote teamwork, collaboration, and empathy. Respect cultural diversity and encourage inclusive language and behaviors. Address conflicts promptly and promote a culture of mutual respect and understanding.
• Freedom: Balance structure and autonomy to empower students in their learning journey. Offer choices within assignments and projects to accommodate different learning styles and interests. Encourage critical thinking and creativity by allowing space for exploration and self-expression.
• Enjoyment: Make learning engaging and meaningful by incorporating hands-on activities, real-world connections, and multimedia resources. Infuse enthusiasm and passion into your teaching to inspire curiosity and a love for learning. Incorporate humor and levity to create a positive classroom atmosphere.
• Purpose: Help students understand the relevance and significance of their learning experiences. Connect lessons to broader themes, values, and goals to instill a sense of purpose and meaning. Encourage reflection on personal values and aspirations, and provide opportunities for service and leadership.

In addition to delivering lessons and providing feedback, model and reinforce a Christian worldview by integrating biblical principles and values into your teaching. Lead by example in your conduct and interactions, demonstrating humility, compassion, and integrity. Provide pastoral care and spiritual guidance to students as appropriate.

Supervise students with vigilance and responsibility, ensuring their safety and well-being in various settings. Collaborate with colleagues in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching practice and stay updated on best practices and educational trends. Set personal growth goals aligned with your professional aspirations and seek opportunities for mentorship and reflection to support your continued development as an educator.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
