About the Job
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Operations and Director of Admissions, the Marketing Automation Specialist manages the content, coordination and delivery of marketing and communications on behalf of the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
The Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for implementing the marketing plan for the Office of Undergraduate Admissions to meet our designed recruitment strategy. This role uses Admissions software and systems, primarily our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tool. Daily responsibilities include data processing, creating content, email marketing, and mailing physical marketing materials. This role also assists with event communication, travel materials, and overseeing student staff members.

Email and Text Engagement
- Create and execute strategic and personalized email, text, and mailing communication workflows for lead nurturing with Account Engagement and Salesforce.
- Oversee student staff members who support mailings from the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
- Utilize reporting and data sets to optimize targeting, strategy, and efficiency.
- Update, maintain, and add to catalog of lead nurturing email templates, text messages, and physical collateral.
- Forecast engagement strategies based on performance and industry insights.
- Optimize email templates for mobile and desktop/browser and email clients.
- Monitor integration between Salesforce and Account Engagement.
- Maintain a clean database.
Design:
- Create compelling and visually appealing HTML emails.
- Collaborate with the Communications & Creative Services Department to create physical marketing collateral, including postcards, brochures, and flyers.
- Monitor and maintain brand integrity across all email communication through Account Engagement and physical marketing pieces.
- Compose grammatically correct, conversational emails that comply with the CCU Writing Style Guide.
Administration:
- Increase funnel activity by creating and sending compelling emails.
- Monitor daily email communication and document improvement opportunities.
- Maintain an inventory of physical collateral for mailings, events, and college fairs.
- Facilitate, discern, and prioritize requests from the enrollment team.
- Set and meet quarterly engagement goals.
- Maintain a data-driven approach to meet and exceed goals.
- Troubleshoot technical issues.
- Streamline workflows and create efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with other marketing team members.
- Perform data analysis and reconciliation, producing operational reports from internal and external databases.
- Execute mailings of branded items (e.g. welcome boxes to incoming students).
- Assist with on and off-campus Admissions events.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned to contribute to the growth and success of the university.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, you may be required to walk, stand, sit, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, speak with clarity, and have appropriate vision and hearing capabilities. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. You may be required to work occasional irregular hours, including some nights and weekends. Colorado Christian University expects all faculty and staff to become a part of the University community by participating in activities and events that occur on the campus throughout the year, which may occur during evenings and weekends.

Pay and benefits will be discussed in more detail as candidates progress through the interview process. The pay range for this job is $21.63 - $24.04 per hour. Pay is assigned by reviewing a combination of job-related factors that may include: internal/external pay equity, the salary structure/pay grade, or a candidate’s qualifications/experience for the job. A wage range posted is not a guarantee of a specific wage and CCU reserves the right to make pay decisions based on economic and equity considerations.
