The mission of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless is to work collaboratively toward the prevention of homelessness and the creation of lasting solutions for homeless and at-risk families, children, and individuals throughout Colorado. The Coalition advocates for and provides a continuum of housing and a variety of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of those it serves.


The individual in this role provides administrative support to the HVRP team.

Essential Job Functions 
  • Provides administrative support to the Vocational Services team.
  • Answers the front door and greets program participants.
  • Receives and contacts referrals, enters them into database, ensures follow-up. 
  • Gathers and enters program outcome data as required
  • Ability to work with cash, keeping track of expenses and purchases.
  • Complete all documentation and data entry as required, in a timely manner (Access Data Base, Case Notes, HMIS, etc.)
  • Performs general office duties (ordering office supplies, word processing, filing and other clerical duties, etc.).
  • Completes initial assessments for program participants.
  • Assists in scheduling orientations for program participants.
  • Assists in report development and printing.
  • Assists program participants with program paperwork as required.
  • Orders and keeps track of bus passes and tickets given to program participants including quarterly and annual reporting to funder.
  • Orders and keeps track of office supplies.
  • Keeps financial requisitions in order for compliance with accounting.
  • Keeps waiting room in order.
  • Completes other duties and tasks as requested.


Qualifications Summary 
  • Skill in operating office equipment, such as computers, software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel; e-mail) and telephones.
  • Skill in oral and written communications.
  • Skill in data entry, word processing
  • Able to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Able to ensure accuracy of data management and reporting.
  • Able to make sound decisions, using available information while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
  • General knowledge of homeless issues and demonstrated sensitivity to underserved populations including veterans.
  • Ability to deal with veterans in crisis in a safe, calm and therapeutic manner.
  • Clear understanding and respect of the need for client confidentiality.
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to pass automobile insurance carrier’s motor vehicle record investigation and preferred to have access to a vehicle in order to attend meetings in many different locations.
